Census Of Electricity Establishments (C.E.E) 1999-2000

SCOPE &   
COVERAGE



The census covered establishments engaged in generation, transmission and distribution of electricity both in the private and public sectors in all the provinces and federal capital, Islamabad. The Northern Areas, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Azad Jammu and Kashmir were, however, out of the scope of this census. All the 20 electricity establishments (both in private and public sectors) were covered in the census.

Main Objectives 
The main objective of the census is to derive value added of electricity sub-sector in the national economy. The census aims at collecting information on fixed assets, installed capacity by type of plants, maximum demand, electricity generated by type of plants, electricity consumption and number of consumers by sectors, fuel, consumption, Industrial cost, gross value of production, value added, electricity consumed in auxiliaries, system losses, availability and supply position of electricity etc.
Periodicity Once in every two years
